Oh the possibilities of what a new year can bring! I am both excited and overwhelmed by starting a new year of content planning, so I wanted to narrow my focus to what my followers follow me for! To find our what that is, I posted several polls on my stories to get some feedback and what they want to see in 2021. I also want to share some of my personal goals for Coffee with McKenna in the next year. Let me know in the comments if there is anything I should add to either list!

- 80% of followers who responded do not care about how “aesthetically pleasing” a page/feed is.
- 80% of followers who responded want more skincare, beauty, and makeup content.
- Followers want to see more of the following from me (ranked most to least popular): lifestyle, fashion, sales, Seattle/city living.
- 70% of the followers that responded don’t care if an item is designer or not.
- 70% of followers that responded do have LTK app downloaded on their devices.
- 90% of followers that responded want casual (vs more dressy) looks.
- 95% of followers that responded want more try on hauls.

From this data, I have gathered that my followers enjoy following me mostly for lifestyle content as well as fashion. I will continue to provide sale finds, especially for Amazon and Norstrom, but focus on sharing every day items. I will show more try on hauls, and stick to a majority of casual looks (vs more dressed up options). I will continue to focus on the quality of individual photos/videos I post rather than the aesthetic of my feed all-together. And finally, I will add more beauty, makeup, and skincare content to my page in 2021!
My Goals for Coffee with McKenna
I think that each blog owner should write their own personal goals for their brand in the new year. It can be intimating thinking about setting goals and not knowing if you’ll reach them in a year – let your goals push you rather than overwhelm you! As an example, here are some of my goals for Coffee with McKenna in 2021:
- Publish at least 1 reel per week
- Post 6 days per week on average
- Sponsor at least 1 giveaway per month
- Shoot more creative content (i.e. with props, find new poses, etc.)
- Plan content ahead of time (at least 1 week in advance)
- Reach 10k followers by 2022
- Take on mostly paid collaborations + partner with brands I truly believe in
